It is 2018. Urban decay is rife. Crime, drugs and poverty have reached epidemic levels. The streets are bloody and are ruled by the city crime lord, Eshu, who traffics the deadly narcotic Rapture .

In the cold fall, a cruel mutilation and murder of a pregnant woman sends ripples through the bleak city. A blind young woman is found at the scene of the crime. She is Alara, a patient escaped from the local asylum led by the evil Dr. Herschel . Although senseless and unhinged she holds the key to solving the murder.

She encounters Joseph, the murdered woman's brother, and together they unravel the secrets of the dark city ...
